Hey what's up CA.org people, my names A. Thought.
Figured I would ask what type of equipment would be best as an artist cause I have been drawing and painting for some time and my scanner is my largest issue, it has horrible quality and it's getting kind of old. I was curious if there is a specific scanner anyone would suggest.
As for me I mostly try and do concept work. I have a lot of Water Color and Pen work, I guess my biggest habit it drawing in BIC Pen. I am also in the midst of creating a new kind of studio area for myself and was curious how other people have there set ups just so I can get an better idea for mine. So far I have a table, rulers, paints, pens and pencils some drawings around me from other concept artists for inspiration and some of my own.

Then I was curious if there are any anatomy books I should check since I mostly review other artists work so I can get my forms down. Once I get some of my work up I will expect more of review from other artists but for the time being I have nothing to show. I might try my crap shoot of a scanner just for the hell of it so people have an idea.

Anyway I can't wait to get to know some more of the CA.org people a little more.

Welcome to the site, Arrogant Thought. As far as scanners go, I don't have any specific scanners that I can recommend to you, but I can recommend you against getting one of those 3-in-1 printer-scanner-copier things, such as what Lexmark has. They're inexpensive (I have one), but the scanning quality isn't very good.
And for anatomy books, I highly recommend Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life. You can also search the internet for Andrew Loomis' downloadable PDFs.
So yeah, post work, and enjoy your stay here.
