Can a teacher use the educational version of Photoshop CS3 (or any other Adobe product) to make a profit? I called Adobe and both times their reps said "no." But they aren't able to point me to the documentation that specifically says so. Everything I've found so far says what is required "to buy" the product. I was just wondering if you guys know where I might find info about restrictions regarding usage. thanks. :)

Well, from what I've experienced from dealing with licenses for programs, Educational versions are meant for teaching and/or non-profit work on the basis of learning (thus it costs less to obtain a license).
As to how Adobe can find out if you're using it for other reasons, I don't know. This information is usually not stated in the documentation for the program, but it should have been stated within the terms of service when the educational license was purchased.
