Hey fellas.

Well I think I figured out how to make a little .avi for ya.

Did this guy this morning in about 15 minutes in photoshop. I was able to record the first 10 minutes for ya.

http://www.hawkprey.com/ass_small.jpg

I know he has some design issues and may not be the most original character but I had to work fast to get a small sample for ya.

I apologize now if my server goes down. I am trying to figure where I can mirror this thing.......until then. goodluck downloading it.........hope you dig.

Very cool, Hawk... he's like the evil/indifferent spawn of Pablo & Salvador.

I love seeing people work this way. It's incredibly interesting. Thanks for sharing this!

I really appreciate this hawkprey...thank you for your effort on this...

The creature is awesome...one question:

Did you add the fog on the bottom to bring the focus on the upper part, since i was wondering until that point how you would solve this problem...or is it just an atmosphere bonus? I hope you understood my crappy english...

I love those things. It's one thing to see a step by step, but the "movies" are something else. Well done.

you got it fozzy.

Thats exactly why I added the "fog".

I usually do this if I want the viewer to look away from an area that I think is ass. Just trying to control a little bit what the viewer focuses on when he initially looks at the piece.

It was very strange doing this. I felt like I was being watched the whole time. ahahhahaaha.

very cool of you hawk. Couple of ?'s. Is that all on one layer and do you have any preconcieved notions about what the end product might look like when you start. Oh and one other thing. You do know youre the man, right?

Actually there is one other thing. Is anybody doing models of these yet. I gotta see one modeled.

Hey Clepto

ya I usually try and work on one layer. Just keep things as simple as possible.

I usually have a vague idea of what I want to do but the beauty of laying down the thick black lines is that I see shapes that I wouldnt have considered before. The piece kind of creates itself.

gas...........I have no clue why you cant DL this. Seems to be working for most people.

Gasmask:

Hey - no guarantees, but try this:

--Download the file.
--Unzip it with your Zip utility (or just double-click the folder if you've got XP and drag the file to your desktop.)
--After extracting the file, right click on it and select "Open File With" and choose Windows Media, Quicktime, or whatever player you use.

If that doesn't work, try opening Windows Media and opening the file from within the application.

Maybe you've already tried this, so disregard if you have. If not, maybe you'll have some luck.

BY THE WAY...Hawk you rule. Thanks again.

Yes. We demand a name for this atrocity.
Is it ass?

Very inspiring work [as usual].
Thanks.

Hehe. I think he should call it Birdfinger.

Anyhow, neat demo. Seeing other artists actually work is one of the great things about school, so anytime anyone can shoot that out via the 'net it's a huge plus. :clapping2

link don't work. probably, bandwidth limit is exceeded :(

for the next demos, hawk, did you try out opencanvas? just search google for oc11b71.exe, that's all you need. it's freeware, you can work with "the photoshop brush" and it allows you to save so called event files that work like movies you watch with opencanvas but are way smaller than any actual screengrab video.
