when i render stuff in photoshop, i often use the number keys 1 through 0 to change the opacity of my brush quickly while working. Every now and then I accidently change the quick key commands for by brushes so when i hit a number it changes the flow of the brush instead of the opacity. I don't know how to switch the number keys back to adjusting the opacity. anybody know how where the devil to do this?
this drives me crazy.

It's probably because you have the airbrush option selected. I don't know why it does this, but whenever you have Airbrush enabled, it automatically assigns the number keys to adjusting the flow instead of the opacity. Just uncheck it and you'll be fine.

you are right! that's really dumb. I don't usually use the air brush. I find i can get a good air brush effect without it. does anybody use it? what is it good for?

if u press
alt + shift + P this enables the airbrush.. and then u can change its values by pressing 0~9.. and of course u can turn it off to change opacity by pressing alt+shift+p again to toggle on and off..
you can always just untick the air brush option in brush and save out the brush again..

Well, what makes airbrush different is that the painting "adds" up (basically the color acumulates, in the area you are clicking, until you stop to click) The longer you keep pressing the click, the more "paint" (color), that builds up on that area,
Normal brushes don't add up, they just stay the same.
