Thought I'd start a thread to show progress of each attempt to recreate a master work in digital.
This first one is a Antigone by Lord Leighton. Photoshop.

Hey, these are great! I remember talking with you about how to paint digitally. Ummmm.... looks like you got the hang of it. Keep posting these as they develop. Looks great...

hello there, these look great! I remember the skill being a bit more yellow on the Rubens though, but I'm sure you're already on that. keep it up!

Hey Thanks Britt, Am determined to get it with the digipaint. Hope it helps lead to something one day.

Here you go Smith.
Started lay-in in PS, then just switched to Painter. The brushes just feel more painterly. I would love Painter more if it didn't eat up so much ram.
Panchosmith Yep, you're right. Usually when I start, I don't worry about correct color, but I am definitely aware of it as I progress.:)
