love the composition on the 4th shot on the sneaker fanatics - think it captures of what you're goin for the most successfully.

the U.C.K stuff though looks very interesting -can you tell us more about it? any more pics from this series...?

Thank You.

Before I did the shoot, I started noticing other photographers using guns in their shots. I decided I wanted to try it out. I called some friends of mine and asked them if I could take pictures of them and their guns. They were a little skeptical at first, but later decided it was okay. They wanted to hide their faces, and thats why two of them wore bandannas around their faces, and the other wore a hat and sunglasses. To be honest with you, they were the only volunteers. The rest of them stood and observed behind me. The house i shot it at is their "hang out" spot.

There's about 3 or 4 more pictures from that series, but I didn't like them too much. I wanted to shoot more, however, it was 3am, and I had to wake up at 7am for work. Sometimes my work gets shown at art shows, and I needed new work to put up, and the show was only a week away. That's why I did the shoot at such an odd day. *shrugs*

No such thing as too much for one thread, just for one post. You have a very nice range of shots, and very nice lighting control. A general comment: most of these images suffer from quite high noise, what sort of ISO are you shooting at for these? It really works for the third image (which is my favourite of this bunch) but on some of the others it is distracting.

Thanks! Actually, the ones with most noise are the UCK ones and ZLOCA$. UCK, i added the noise there on photoshop just to give it more of a grimey feel. The originals were too clear and crisp for my taste. The ZLOAC$ just came out like that. I don't know why to be honest with you. Perhaps it was the film I used. Some films gives a grainy look to your photos. My friend actually asked me if I could help him out with that shoot. He let me use his "canon elan7". That was before I even had a camera. It was the second shoot I ever worked on. At the end, I ended up acquiring the taste of having it look like it has too much noise. It looks like something that would come out of a Vice or Vapors Magazine, or one of those rugged street culture magazines, hence...street culture. At the end, it made me feel like it gave it more character of what it was supposed to be. I guess pictures that I perceive as "street culture" i want it too look grimey (depending on what i'm shooting i guess). But that's just my opinion. Not everyone would agree. But I will agree that the first UCK one has a little too much noise. I got lazy to fix it and so I just left it alone.

I'm sort of broke, so to be honest with you, I was shooting with a stock lens for awhile. Nancy, UCK, and Recycable Loot ones i shot with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM. I wish I could afford more lens, but in due time I will.

rens! yo dude, glad to see you made it to the forums. again, nice work... i really enjoy those recyclable loot shots. as i recall you had some of some shots of kids that were pretty awesome that you should definitely share.
this reminds me, we need to grab some people and go on a photo rampage.

oh btw, where'd you get your canon body and what would you recommend for a primary lens? i'm looking to get an upgrade for one or the other.
