Reminds me of this:

Not intended as a joke, but it really reminds me of it.

Lovely !
On to the fangurl questions : What is this made of ? Are you going to make a cast of it ? What was the inspiration behind your piece ? Background info ! :)
Again, lovely.

Amazing piece. I love it. If you do cast it I want to know how you managed. Looks like there would be a tonne of undercuts.
Great concept. Please post more if you have them.

Thanks all for the comments. Cannibal80 I love those Feudian double images, is that done by W.E. Hill?

To answere a few questions...

egerie:

Its Roma Plastilina no.1, 1 being the softest no.5 being the hardest. I probably won't make a cast of it because its pretty expensive, but mainly because its a pain in the ass and I lack the patience. The inspiration I'm sorry to say is pretty mundane but came from old victorian era hair styles, and I was wanting to do some figure studies so I thought I'd combine the two. I was also greatly influenced by Gustav Klimpt's work, particularly "Medicine"

Elwell:
The class is at Cogswell college in Sunnyvale CA

FINE job! Maybe someone on campus has the equipment to 3D laser-scan it into a computer? It sure would be nice to replicate that in a sturdier material. Maybe you could just coat it with fiberglass resin? It's super-cheap!
