Hey, it's been a long time since I posted. These are personal paintings except for the third one, which was a commission work i've done. But it was a nice job with few guidelines.

Hope you like it and comments and critic are always welcome.
Have a nice day.

nice! the "deadbaloon" idea is great!

This is fantastic! It inspires me to do some symbolism based on stereotypes. Thanks for the view!

Creepy stuff. I like it very much.
Just one crit though...the left hand of the child in the second picture is not reading very clearly - the little finger and thumb seem lost. Other than that, great stuff.

Nice, I especially like the purple in the last one, it's got something very james jean to it.

Interesting. I like the concepts. though something seems strange (beyond the obvious facelessness) of the boy's head in the last pic.
Do these have any meaning?

Nice, love the colors.
The only thing crit is the facts that the ballon, the octopus, the robots.... are more interesting than the boys.

i agree with rook, a very apparent james jean influence

Dian3: thank you :)

Max A K Challie: glad to hear that.

MephistoLV: I agree with you. Thank you.

Red_Rook, Barts: James Jean is, besides Foster and Ashley Wood, my hero and his work always inspires me.

MrDigory: The intention was to create faces without emotions, no stereotyped expressions.

spookybabydoll: well, this means i have to work more on the boys/girls.

Really awesome stuff. My one pet peeve is that everyone appears to be floating, there is no sense of where the ground is. I'm getting the feeling that this is your style though so do ignore me if thats the case.

dude i love this stuff.. great paintings.. unique style and whatnot.. but i love the ideas behind them... just creepy mixed with something cutesy like kids and balloons and blue stuffed animal creatures.. its jsut great... good work ol' chap!

Even though there's an obvious theme, the 3rd pic seems out pf place. It's alot more cheerful than the prevoius 2, I think it may be to do with the kid being active and the 'happier' colour scheme.

Love the first 2, love the balloon.

Looks good. cool concepts.

Silverwing: I get your point, maybe they need a ground, but its difficult on account of the background.

Killer Napkins:
Thank you, I painted all in ps. But I use some custombrushes for this traditional feeling.

SEVANS: Its an commission work, they want it a little bit more happy-go-lucky. Here is the boy in the first color scheme without the other fellows:

bhanu, Stark:
Thank you for the comments, I'm glad you like it.

Very nicely rendered! great backgrounds. It reminds me of yoshitomo nara, these have weird ideas and a lot of fun.

Well, now I change my opinion and say that much, much better without all the things around. The new background color fits more with your others works.

Nice to see some new work from you, still pretty solid stuff, but for the girlthe shadow under the noose is too strong, looks like she's bleeding.
Love the kid and the rat, he's really creepy.

I like your last one

I understand that you like James Jean but be careful. This last set seems like you had his images next to you while you were making your piece and didn't add much to make yours original. The subject matter, the "environment," and the handling are all his. It's ok to be influenced by him, but add your own touch.

i agree with fvalleja, your stuff is very close to james jean, and i checked out your site and you have a painting that is a blatant jon foster immitation. you should work on developing your own voice.

spookybabydoll, chuck18mp:
Thank you.

Fvallejo:
I'm still searching for my own style. To copy the work of jj was not my intention. But maybe your right and the influence is too heavy. Thank you and nice to see you here.

SMVidaurri:
Your right and this image is a fanart of Jon Fosters and Brian Despains work.

I used a ref for the pose of the girl an for the animal. I'm not happy with the final outcome, she's as stiff as a poker... but anyway:

Great idea and execution of the kids. I love it!

At this point, especially with your paintings of women, I am gonna say your rendering far surpasses your actual anatomy skills. I really think your colors and mood are so beautiful, I wish the foundation drawing was stronger.

deadballon kid kicks ass! great stuff... everything feels very "digital artish" still... if i were you i'd try to make my stuff more traditional in it's looks. Just a tip you know... Keep up the great work!

The last pic has some nice color and compostional elements, but i would agree with your saying its a bit stiff. Its her contours that make her seem stiff look at the silluets of her legs, there are no curves to suggest volume and mass.

Shu

adib: thanks.
mrdoom: I try.
redneckrodney: thank you.
PuppyKitten: yes you're right. Thank you.
GriNGo: okay, thanks.
Robert.B: yes, I should spend more time on the foundation drawing.

Recent Work: A fanart of the street fighter character Chun-Li. And yes... as Jason Chan discovered a long time ago... white hair is cool.

Im curious to what will happen if I unzip the little blue one. Will he sprout mushrooms that dance the dance of a thousand fairys, or will he turn inside out and be a little red bugger.

...I wounder.
