wacom information

Hi there, long time studier (lurker? :( ) and its been a good while since i posted last. I recently graduated from college in a degree that was fun (comp sci) but didn't tap into the traditional artistic side of me. Recently I've been drawing a lot, all in sketchbooks and would like to start painting, both digital and traditional (oil). For those that are veterans of wacom tablets I have two questions. the first: what type, graphir3 or intuos? second: what size would you suggest? I know the answers rely on some degree of personal preference and that is totally fine... I will scan a few of the recent sketches i've done and link them here after I finish posting, feel free to refer to them if you think it would help answer those questions.
