I'm planning to get a new computer soon, but I just realized that my 9x12 wacom may not correspond correctly with a widescreen. It seems that widescreens are becoming the standard monitor. Anyone know if it would work?

There is a setting on the Wacom drivers that allow to force proportions of your screen. But you loose the lower portion of your tablet, meaning it wont respond to your pen at all.

I use my Intuos3 A4 with a 19'' widescreen monitor and haven't noticed anything weird. Works well for me.

I use a widescreen, but I change the mapping on the tablet so that it isn't distorted. It forces proportions, true, but then everytime you want to draw a circle- you are actually drawing an ellipse. It messes with your brains I tell ya!
