Well, I know it's not much of a concept, but this is probably the best drawing I've ever done completely out of my head. I think the one thigh is too long, and I just noticed that he's a bit off balance maybe. other than that, what do you think?

Hi Jeff,
yes, he's really off balance and falling backwards. The biceps of his right arms looks too exaggerated and the foreshortening of his left arm doesn't work. The feet are off perpective-wise and the squiggly shading lines on his body look like hair. Anyway, I can't do it better from my mind, either, so please don't be too disappointed because of my crit.

Thanks jester, you're right about it all. That's what I needed.

i dont want to sound too harsh, but basically the anatomy is off. also, his right wrist and hand look strange and his face and head are off. in a case like this i think it would be good for you to have some sort of backround added to the rock. .. it looks strange floating in space. hope this helps some.

thanks for the crit metalwinds. not too harsh at all. It pushes me to get better instead of resting on my laurels and being too proud of what I did. Keep studying anatomy...got it.
Here's a creature I drew this morning, just popped in to my head. It was shaded all squiggly but after jester reminded me that that was sloppy I went over it again and tried to define the forms more and blend the shading in. I think the feet suck ass again but I kinda like the concept.
