Emergence Entertainment plans a 4-issue comic book serialization to be released individually and then compiled into a bound graphic novel.

This will be adapted from an award-winning feature film screenplay.

WHERE THE DEAD GO is an occult thriller with a hardcore horror edge -- "The Serpent And The Rainbow" for the "Saw" generation.

Logline: "A by-the-book bioweapons expert is deployed to the war-torn Congo to investigate a suspicious outbreak of disease only to discover that it may be of supernatural origin.”

We are looking for a single person (or team acting under a single contracted person) to pencil, ink, color, and letter (everything for it to be print-ready) the first 22-24 page full color comic book, including exceptional quality cover illustration.

Emergence will retain copyright and control of the IP, but full credit will be given to the artist(s) on all printed editions.

The first issue will need to be completed within 12 weeks of the project award.

Maximum bid will be $400 per page.

Notes and feedback will be shared through online collaboration, unless the artist resides in Los Angeles, where Emergence is based.

Payments will be based on the following milestones:

5% at signing of contract.
10% at approval of major character sketches.
5% at approval of sets and major props/objects.
20% at approval of layout pencil sketches
20% at approval of inking
15% at approval of coloring
10% at approval of lettering
15% after final approval and transmission of digital files.
