Carbine Studios, a software development company focused on making high-quality, cutting-edge, and conceptually innovative Massively Multiplayer Games, is seeking a Concept Artist to create visually stimulating conceptual art that has a strong sense of style, shape, form and color.


Job Qualifications
• Must be able to rapidly illustrate concepts based on verbal and written direction
• Outstanding traditional illustration skills using a variety media.
• Experience with Photoshop or Painter.
• Must be able to work within a broad variety of styles and genres.
• Strong traditional and digital art skills
• Excellent communication and team skills.
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic.
• A passion for creating and playing video games.

Portfolio Requirements:
• Color keys
• Finished paintings that reflect an ability to communicate art directions to the CG team (lighting, value, effects, and texture).
• Designs with architectural and environmental elements (stone, water, smoke, forest, etc.).
• Samples that show strong lighting/color sense and flexibility in style.
• Some samples of designs (line work) for modelers; i.e. line production drawings, isometric detail work

My name is Steven Stylianou , I'm 25 years old and I'm an artist looking for a place to show what I can do. I pride myself on my character design in pencil and in flash and my story development. I can do all sorts of styles. From dark and edgy, to fun and goofy. I really want THIS to be what I do with my life. I've had limited experiance but I've been drawing all my life and I'm an extremely hard worker when it comes to art. I'm a former student of the School of Visual Arts and have had some publication experiance.
