Pretty cool video, it's awesome that he now has a happy and fulfilling life and that he can paint, though he is blind. Best wishes to him.

That's pretty damn amazing, feels quite impossible. I just don't get it how he can paint like that even though he's blind.

would he get someone else to make up his canvases? i'm thinking theyre photographs that have been posterized and then the edges of the colours are picked out by some sort of latex or raised medium, giving him the ability to feel around the picture, get an idea of what it is, then paint in the colours accordingly? or is it impressioned onto the canvas? either way, amazing stuff :)

The visual arts for non visual people: What’s the point?
I was angry when I lost my sight. Painting seemed a way of shoving my disability right back in the face of God, or nature, or whatever. Funny how things seem to right themselves though. Through painting I found a calmness that I had not known since before my vision had gone.

I actually really like the face he has on his site, I mean it isn't the best art in the world but stories like this make me happy. Losing something so essential that people can still find outlets to express themselves and enjoy life, sometimes obtaining even more enjoyment than before.

that's some pretty neat stuff. considering the fact that he's blind i find it amazing enough that he can distinguish between colors and values.
