becoming a nyc street artist?

hey, I live in nyc, and i was wondering if anyone knew the laws regarding becoming a street artists here? If I would have to get a permit or liscense, something like that. Thanks.

Yup, you need a permit, same as street musicians.
It's to make sure you pay your taxes.
