This piece orginally started as a doodle and a tribute to Keita Amemiya's design works, then as things progress, the design took the direction of a blend between traditional Chinese Lion Dance and Japanese mythological characters. Shown here is the Photoshop paintup of the in-progress sculpt - soon to be released as a resin kit.

That is really good, but the smaller figure appears like its simply floating over the lion creature. Is it going to pounce on him? Also his leg is bend out of shape which to me disrupts the harmony in the piece. Also the lion itself. its a little hard to read its anatomy/pose.

but other than that, it looks really good.
