Finally grew some cohones to start a sketchbook, I really need to draw more.
I think the talent is there, so now I want some critism, mostly help in what I need to hit up on more to better myself as an artist.

Its hard to crit somebody if you only saw to sketches of him.

Would like to improve this 3d piece...did it in illustrator.
pretty sure there's people out there with nice illustrator background that can throw tips at me.

The hummingbird and eye are very cool. Reference is obviously your friend, so use it more. Plus, draw from life as much as possible too.

I can't get the colors on her at all. been working on her face for a couple of days now.

Breaking images down to its colour-shapes help simplify the process. Try turning the ref upside down and copying the major shapes to start with, dont worry bout whether it is a face or object etc, concentrate on the shapes, then when you turn right side up you will be amazed how the brain see's what you were struggling with in the first place... just an exercise but useful sometimes. keep posting ;-)

Alot of tools are not available yet for the Paint program (MTpaint).
but it still works really well, if you just want to doodle on the train or anywhere really.
