The latest addition to my series of heavily manipulated turn-of-the-century portrait photos. Private project, I hope to publish them as a book some day.
Done w/ Photoshop. Probably around 10 hours on this... (I found myself agonizing over the dumbest little details.)

I really don't know much about photo manipulation, but nonetheless I thouroughly enjoyed this peice.
I also admire how you changed her entire face by just making her jaw slimmer. At least thats all I gathered, I was thinking for a while that maybe you changed the eyes just slightly, but I can't decide.
If you do a book, you should include the original photos with some your manipulations. I had a lot of fun looking back and forth comparing the two. I actually put my hand over different areas of the photo to compare certain parts, it was fun...Just an idea.

that's awsome , the work is seemless, well done.
photomanipulation is a tricky buisness indeed,
often you can find yourself puzzeling over things for hours then most people just glance over your work like it is nothing special, when the work is made to look so subtle that noone notices it is an acheivement indeed.
love how the nose is a a little smaller and the eyebrows have been changed,
i got a piece on my site you might like, i'l pm you the link,

Chromo48 - I'm glad you had some fun with this one! You are right about the eyes: I separated them a bit from each other, and also changed their angle. As for the idea about including the untouched photos... well, maybe. Although I guess I do indeed own the originals outright, I take some pains to insure that none are ever recognizable (including the "studio" logos at the bottom). I'll resolve this question when the project gets nearer to completion - and that will probably be quite some while from now.
alti - Yup, I changed the nose as well. Although I think I actually left the eyebrows in place, because when I shifted the eyes this seemed to give her a more interesting expression. Also, her neck had to change a little to match up with the slimmer face... That pretty much covers the structural changes. I dug your link, by the way!
Solidarnosi and reeves - With such encouragement, I am bound to post more! If you haven't done so already, click on "TRISTAN" below for an earlier installment in this series :D
BIG Thanks to everybuddy for your comments! :chug:
