Shrink your images, please. They're blurry enough from the camera, but when they're blurry AND enormous, it's a lot harder to see the image.

Your portraits don't seem that bad. Some general anatomy studies are in order all around, but your proportions are pretty much correct. At this point I'd focus on musculature, structure, foreshortening, etc. If you want to push your skills more.

Hey rain! I have the same problem getting images up as my current scanner is on hiatus and the only digital camera I have that can be used to upload is a camera phone, ie one of the small megapixel kinds!

Anyways, to your sketches!

I can't really crit them as your skill is way above mine, but, I do have a question, on the first image, your man seems feminine, it may be the pose, or the implicit body language, and I was wondering, was this your intention?

Ugh I just realized in my previous post I said your skill was behind mine.....when it's high above mine. Envious thinking I guess. I hope I didn't come off as a jackass because of it. About the more recent sketches I see what you're saying, (I've gotten into the habit of using my pen tablet to browse the net and I must have scrolled right past them) they are much better than the first. Anatomy books are a great tool, I'll surely have to try that. Oh and about your English, no worries, you type better than some Americans speak. :P

if you want to get into anatomy and such i relly recommend the book "Dynamic Figure Drawing" by Burne Hogarth... my uncle that lives in LA sent me this book,and it help me allot :] i also read about Andrew Lomis books but never read them relly i heard they are offerd free on the web somewhere google it :]

Ok cool! Thanks for the Book titles, I'll try looking for them. In the meantime I'll throw out some more sketches tomm. and put em in my sketchbook thread in my signature, feel free to comment on them!
