The tradition of war art dates back to before the First World War. Recently Richard Johnson continued that tradition when he spent two months in Kandahar living with Canadian troops and documenting what he saw in words and sketches.

Really interesting, and beautiful sketches.

Nice link. It's nice they have the stories up there too, they give some context to the drawings so you can better understand what the drawing represents.
