Hey everyone. I've been drawing for a while now and it's all good but when it comes to colouring I'm still not very good. I can get a decent looking result but it doesn't come out like I wanted it to.
I'm looking for a way to get a similar effect (by brushes/filters/etc you name it) as in the picture in the URL;

I thought maybe it was made in another painting program like Painter or Open Canvas or whatever but since I always used Photoshop I wouldn't really know.
What do you guys think I should do? I can always try learn another program if its easier that way.

You could do that in photoshop, and with a hard round brush, its not the tools, its the skill that makes the pic. Id suggest tracing the outline and copying it. If you don't already set your opcity to pen presure in the "other dynamics" part of the brush menu...the image works most cause the artist has cosen the right colours and taken the time to work at it-good luck

Mm yeah, I was mostly cuirious about the hair tbh. I suck big time at doing hair. I could probably do the body etc fine most of the time. Just making strands and stuff like that can be a real pain to figure out since it all gotta be placed carefully to make sure it doesn't just look like one big pile of hay XD

Thanks for your advice but my tablet already enable Other Dynamics with pen pressure so that wasnt something new. Thanks for help anyway though :)
Time to go back to practice! ;)

something new for me, all this time I've forgotten about setting the brush opactity to pen pressure. I was just focused on the shape dynamics option>.<
