...and these don't feel like elves, dark elves maybe, but not elves. They are just too metal clad and spikey. The batwing details are particularly not elven. If they had dark skin and white hair I would have no trouble accepting them as dark elves. Right now I guess they seem like a hybrid of some sort.

I've never played Warhammer. Though this may lack what is called for by the game itself, I think it is a nicely done piece.

One thing, though. The elf in the foreground. Something about her face looks odd. The expression you put there seems a bit unnatural.

Good point Halis. Unnatural might not be a bad thing, these characters are sort of possessed and psychotic. But maybe the proportions or something else is too unnatural.

Billy- you know you your Warhammer, sometimes I get in trouble for making the good guys too spikey, but yeah elf witches are dark elves- so guess I guess I succeeded:) The thing with the elf witches that really confuses me is that most of them don't have magic, they just like to murder and drink blood. . .

i think by unnatural he means it looks like she's singing achey breaky heart, or yawning to gather energy for a big dump, not bellowing a war cry. get some reference of somebody really yelling; she looks bored right now.

Hi brainplug,

as an old GW-Player (be it WHFB, WHFR, Necromunda or whatever) I think that the witch-elves don´t really go with the expressions used in the different books and the miniatures. You said it, they are furious, mad, psychotic and bloodthirsty and the faces don´t show anything of it. They are to smooth with no hint of anger and rage.

The pic itself is imho a bit to soft and blurry. You said it´s for WH-cards (kind of tradecard game?). If so the "blurriness" will be worse if you minimize it - maybe test it with a print in original size so you can see if everything works out right.

Thanks for the feedback. It's pushed me to spend more time on this one. Even though I've already spent too much time and I'm making 2 cents an hour. Now I realize how crappy the old one was.
