NIGHTMARE OF THE WEEK #6


TOPIC:
hotel room on the other side of the mirror

Rules:
- one entry per person
- use your own new artwork
- the image must NOT contain smiling mushrooms, rabbits and pink ribbons
- all medium acceptable, including photography (but only if you can take your camera on the other side of the mirror....if not, use your sick imagination and DRAW)

DEADLINE: 9th OCTOBER

This time the focus is on the environment. Not much here to explain. The room + The mirror = Otherworld. Once again look for inspirations in Silent Hill franchise and Darkseed. Anyone remembers Darkseed? I hoped so:)
This should be pretty straightforward. I just want to mention that the winning image I would like to use in the game I'm making, of course if you agree for that. It's an independent AGS game so there would be no profits...just the joy of participating. That's what it's all about isn't it?:)
Now get drawing and I hope to see a lot of good entries as the bar gets higher and higher with every NOW!

Man i want to make video game so badly I'll go crazy for it :D
I have drawn characters and every thing for it already...well not exactly everything. I'm still contemplating on story line and stuff :)

Oni Rem- it's nothing really exciting. I wouldn't call it a video game. It's an adventure game of the kind of Darkseed. There is a thumbnail of it above without the characters though. But I'm doing all I can while the industry remains unwelcoming and other circumstances stand in the way...:@

Nice. Last time I've seen one of the best movie about haunted hotels: '1408' so I give you few screenshots as a reference.

Good, good. That's the whole point for us to look at the topic at very different angles. I admit this isn't exactly otherworldly room though. I might post something else later:)

Grim i thought id use your room for inspiration, only this one is the just before version, and from the othersides perspective, :)

tried using a different technique for this, experimental wire type brush, anyway not sure if i like it, gets a bit fidly for detail, more suited for large brush strokes.
