The Promised Land

Hello Everybody!...
I decided to make my first try on a mood image/concept illustarion. This is what came out after 3 hours... please comment!;)

i like this a lot. the detailing on the character is the perfect mix of subtle and solid. the texture peeking out from the blurry dust blowing at the bottom is particularly well done.

my only real issue is the light source to the right. it's got way too much absolute white. enough to distract from the focus of the painting. if you took the cloud forms present at the top of the painting and upped all the values simultaneously by a good 50-75%, i think that might be somewhere around the value scale you'd need for currently blown-out area.

Story, what is it after, why should I care? I can't relate to it. There isn't anything new here, nothing uniques, nothing you. Why play safe, make some more messes.... your playing way to safe.

COOL MAN,,, i like the "sensation" of this piece,, the textures ,, the shapes (thecnical work) is really atractive,,, but of course, is the sense of the history that cares::::::: cool dude

Weird name, but cool piece. There's no real part in it that says it's the promised land, or that he's even looking for one, but it's still pretty good. Like the action that is present in it, with the wind blowing and all
