Hi, I am fairly new to Concept art. I have been in school for the last 4 years and have posted a few pieces over that time. I want to make a habit of keeping up with my sketches, maybe a sketch dump a day. Any crits are welcome, I am used to CC so no holds barred is fine with me ;)

Welcome to CA! Nice start you got here. Very comic and funny to watch.
Do you use any reference when you draw these?
Keep posting!

a lot of reference, for the women I was really looking at skydoll because I love how the womens features are drawn, I surf all over the net and take a lot of inspiration from various artists, I'm really trying to develop my own style, its coming along. Slowly but surely :)

I love character design. This one started as something I overlooked, but its always the sketch you do not notice that ends up being something in the end. I have a story behind this one. His name is bucket; A prototype bot that works in the janitorial business. He is the main competition in the clean up business with a character I haven't yet designed, I'll post him as soon as I'm done :)

Hey, thanks for stopping by my place! You have a cool animated and expressive style going on. I can definitely see the Sky Doll influence in the top left face of the second page you posted! Later bro.

Thanks for the reply in my sketchbook. Pretty dynamic and expressive way of drawing, Jason vs Krueger drawings looks funny.

Thanks for the visits guys! I'm glad you like my stuff :) This is one of my designs. I am torn between making this a comic or a an animated short, I think a comic would be a little more satisfying for detail purposes, let me know what you guys think ;)

Sk3tch- Thanks for checking my stuff out ;) Glad you like my stuff. This is another piece. It's more of a scene I had in my mind that would happen in the book at some point :P

Awesome drawings, but when you put some lights and shadows you do so very timidly, you should put some more work on that because your pictures end up looking flat, i recomend you to practice with lighting really basic shapes like spheres and ovals, cylinders, boxes, first in black and white and then in color, try to make them as perfect as posible, youll learn lots of things that you can apply to get those wonderfull drawings a lot of volume and depth, good luck, and keep posting your progress please.

Cool cartoon designs. I think the rendering/color needs work though. I think with cartoons you should try for a really clean render. The colors really need to pop too.

cristian223- Thanks for stopping by:) You are right about the rendering, I have always been timid with it, and it is one of my weak spots as you can tell, I tend to get impacient with values, I will work on that and post my progerss, thanks man.

Nam- Thanks for stopping by my page. My rendering does need work, not my strong point:) I will definately work on that, thanks.

I really like your style! It's got the loose, relaxed, and cartoony edge that I've always wished I could pull off.

Cool stuff here, do you always draw in this cartoony style or do you sometimes draw realistically?

spazazo- Thanks for stopping by :) I just finished 4 years of animation training so it kind of shows in my artwork :) structure over detail is the mantra I've been taught. That being said, I haven't done a realistic drawing in awhile, I'll give it a shot and post it up.

thought I'd switch it up and post a tonal I did as an assignment for school. I have to work on my rendering skills, any advice or critique welcomed ;)

Pretty cool. The comical look is ace. Try doing some more realistic work, and try doing some figure and anatomy drawing.
Nice colours on the newest. It has a mysterious look to it/
Keep on trucki__-drawing!

Can you comment on my SB please?

Hey, haven't been on Conceptart forever. I want to start posting stuff again. Tomorrow is my drawing day so I'll have loads of stuff to post. This is a location design for a project I'm working on. I did it months ago so it isn't very new. It is suppost to be an American civil war era hospital. I colored in photoshop using a crude line drawing.

what school did you go to?
from your body styles and facial expressions, as well as line quality, it looks like you studied animation.
