I like it a lot! I think it is tastefully caricatured. The only thing I think that would make it better is to have the character in an environment. Character sketches are much more interesting if they have context.

yeah man good stuff I would recomend drawing from real life... and practive some environments.. look at artists that you like and try to figure out how they are doing what they are doing...
there is no substitute for life drawing... everything else is jsut shortcuts or exagerations... you've got a handle of your lines... there are a bunch of tutorials on this site and arounf the web... that can help you get to the next level...
keep posting... use references.. try is all
if your only 16 then you will be able to go really far... I'm 32 and I missed the boat... I should have gone to art school but I didn't...
Learn everything you can carry a sketch book with you everywhere you go draw everything... if it doesn't look right .. figure out why...
and most important don't let anyone tell you .. you can't make it happen...
there are alot of careers out there that need creative people but it take a good work ethic to get there...
Find more artists in your school challenge each other to get better encourage each other....
go visit some art schools now... see whats out there.. and work hard to get there

yeah maybe I will start practising some environment, good tip! I tried some landscapes a while ago, it was pretty fun to do:)
I usually draw in my school lessons, so I have always paper with me, and a lot at home, but I will try and don't forget my sketchbook if I go out!:D good tip
there aren't a lot of artists in my school :( but I will challenge some people at the dutch forums:D
and for artschools, heh... I'm going to do a course, three hours per week, so you probably will see the result:)
for now, you have to do it with quick portraitsketches I did during math
and a landscape I did a while ago
and thanks for the reply man, really

wow, that landscape is a good piece of sh*t!:D
you know i'm seventeen, but i'd never have the patience to do any landscape in such details, and your style on characters is cool...that 2nd last one reminded me of miguel's style(forgot his full name). keep on going!:thumb:

You have a nice style developing there. Keep it up! I also think that there is no substitute for drawing from life. Once you get the anatomy down you can stylize it however you like but it is important to get that basic understanding first. Good luck in your new classes and be sure to post your new stuff.
