I have started a small team to make a Survival Horror game, we have very experienced programmers, a published author of horror novels co-writing the story with our director and digital artists for the In-Game graphics with me designing the special effects and game mechanics.
Now we are in need of Concept Artists to capture our ideas onto paper, once it is on paper me and the in-game art team will be able to turn the concepts into in-game sprites, then we can animate them and the programmers can bring them to life with AI.
Your work will be featured in-game in a gallery and loading screens as well as on the website, giving you full credit for your work, you will also be allowed to add a personal advertisement on the site, underneath every piece of your work advertising for people to hire you for payed jobs and putting a link to your personal site.
We can discus any terms you wish to be met before you start work and the project is incredibly flexible to allow you to enjoy contributing rather then feeling like you have to work.
The project is for fun (non-profit) however all members of the team are very dedicated and enthusiastic and will give you any support you may need to finish your art. As the project is for fun and we want every member to enjoy them selfs you will never be pushed for deadlines and will be able to work at your own pace.
If you are interested in joining our team and our project then please either PM me or post up here.
If you have any questions i will gladly answer them.
Thank you for your time
- Darryl Holmes
Warning: since the game is a survival horror, the concept art will contain gore and violence as well as some mild nudity.

This seems very interesting. What type of horror game is this exactly?

its hard to explain really, its got a post-apocalyptic setting but is only a few years in the future so its round about the same weapons you would have today, the story mainly revolves around Zombies, Mutants, people that have gone insane, rouge military groups, dark cults and people just trying to survive.
There is a VERY wide range of enemies which is why we need a few artists.
The game itself is designed to bring "survival" to the genre of survival horror, the player will have to search for food, water, shelter, weapons, and they will also have Sanity to contend with, they see people get ripped to pieces they will suffer from sanity loss, same if they see strange mutations, get surrounded by zombies, witness innocent people die, suffer from tremendous stress and anything else thats likely to make a person snap. The less sanity they have the more uncontrollable the character becomes, loose enough sanity and your character will either slit his wrists, shoot himself or even claw his own skin off in desperation.
Think of it as a cross between The Sims & Dead Rising with a whole load of gore and realism. Since its non-profit we are not bound to the same censoring that published games are so we can make it as realistic as we want.

Hello there,
I'm very interested in this type of a project. For sometime now I've been wanting to be a part of something such as this. This kind of project will give me a chance to work some very interesting people as well as evolve my skills as an artist.
If you would like my help send me an email at t_worm@hotmail.com. If you are interested in my help, and I really hope you are. I can send you an email of my portfolio(it's a little small, but it shows off where my skill level is at as an artist).
Let me know I look forward to hearing from someone. :teeth:

Sadly i cant view Face Book, since i don't have an account.
I think I've replied everyone now... this last week i have had a flood of people wanting to join in and may have missed one or 2.
If i have missed you out then i apologize greatly.
The project is now full, we really cant take on any more concept artists.
If positions become available from people dropping out the team then i will post in here again and tell you all that there is a position open, thank you for all your time and everyones support and enthusiasm.
To them that haven't been invited to join the team, please don't take offense to this, i haven't not invited you because i think your skills aren't good enough or anything like that, its is solely down to the fact that we have more concept artists then we have jobs for them to do and if a position becomes available you will have first priority when im choosing new staff.
