Hi!

I would like to invite you to design a timepiece, based on the Lunar Standard Time (LST). It could be just a simple display, a wrist watch, a clock in space, anything - your imagination sets the limits!

Please, let me take a few moments of your time to introduce the LunarClock.org and the LST.

Some day, we will colonize the Moon. Several countries are already scheduling establishment of their first moon bases. In the future - perhaps a rather distant one - there will be colonists living their everyday lives on Luna, going to work, leaving kids at daycare centers, making appointments, and so on. Assuming that periods of daylight are of importance, living by a terrestrial clock (e.g. UTC) is not really an option - colonists need a calendar that makes sense to them. We propose the Lunar Standard Time (LST). This is the basis for the LST concept. More information on this can be found at http://lunarclock.org

LunarClock.org is a non-profit organization, and our sole mission is to promote and develop the Lunar Calendar and Standard Time (LST). We provide the current time (LST), information on the LST, a conversion tool (Terrestrial time to LST) and a javascript driven real time clock for incorporating in other websites. These things are continuously developed. We also supply help with converting dates and customizing scripts for other websites - all in the interest of promoting the LST and all free of charge of course.

As a part of our mission to promote the concept of the Lunar Standard Time, we are inviting companies and artists like yourselves to show what a future timepiece could look like. It would be very interesting to see what you think of this and your visions of LST chronometers.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,

Paul Hasselgren
