Project: Sylorn
What is Project: Sylorn?
Project: Sylorn is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that is being developed by an independent group of talented (questionable:^^;: ) individuals to bring their original fantasy world of Sylorn to life.
What makes Sylorn different to other MMORPGS?
Sylorn is developed by a multitude of people including many experienced Online Players and a few fresh faced recruits (along with the public) to give an unsullied look at what is possible in today’s world of online RPG-ing. In-depth discussions have taken place to create many class types and abilities. However, the most interesting difference between Sylorn and other such games is the ability to become a God of your choice (once approved by the Game Administrators), with your own followers and specific powers, vying for influence over people and defending your followers, and indeed your own Godhood from those who would overthrow your rule. City building is also possible, with clans, guilds, religions and races splitting the usual Orc/Demon Versus Human/Elf type rivalries into a melting pot of power struggles.
Another interesting aspect of the Development process is that players and other interested parties can have a direct influence on how the game is developed, especially at this phase. Everyone’s views are listened to with the same degree of respect and interest on the open forums of the game. Always wanted a certain class type or power to be in an online game? You can request it with Sylorn.
Is there a Website I can look at to see the progress?
Please feel free to visit us. The main Website is www.sylorn.com, but the majority of the information and development takes place at forums.Sylorn.com. There is a (free!) registration to enter into the main forum, no email verification is required. Feel free to call in sometime!

That's the official ad I guess. Development is kinda slow right now due to a few bottlenecking issues but concept art is thriving or at least it would be if we had a few more members. A lot of you might be thinking that you don't have the time but even if you can only post a few images a month it'll still be appreciated and credited in the final product. I'd like to add that this is a pretty serious project, it's been running for a couple of years now with the same core members throughout so it's not just an adolescent pipedream. Most of the work at this time has been sketchwork and the standards not particularly high. As head of 2D art I'm looking for artists who are creative and team players, other than that there's no real expectation or standard.

or you could post an intro at the forums.
Also if you happen to be interested in modelling or textures, that's needed too but I'm not in charge of those sections, so you'll have to check out the forums for further info.
