I wanna do watercolors!

I wanna do watercolors like Paul Bonner, Bev Doolittle, and others. :bounce:

Any good tutorials, tips, or books? All the stuff on watercolors I could find are basic stuff for painting ugly pictures...not exactly what I am looking for. What I want to know is how to do "realistic" paintings in watercolors, just like those pros!

How are your drawing skills? If you are looking to do that kind of watercolor work, then you will need to be rock solid on drawing first.
After that, it becomes a matter of practicing with the paints and learning their quirks. Watercolors are difficult to control. Part of their beauty is that they sometimes do unexpected things. They are not a noob medium by any stretch, despite the reputation they have for being such.
