The Gargoyle Project

My Art Topic at the moment is gargoyles, ive been trying all sorts of variations and experimented drawing and sketching gargoyles from various influences. I Just started a new digital painting in which i am trying to rely heavily on shadows and playing around with inverted pencil lines.
This is what i got so far:

i still need to work alot on the clarity, especially of the face,wings and hand. Any crits, help or suggestions would be appreciated :D
also note that its a kid gargoyle, or a small one, whatever :P

i would like to see a few of those lines come back in.

Perhaps you should make the wings similar to the silver/shadow thing you have going on with the body and tail... but maybe using that blue color instead of the white.

I am really digging your style here, seeing that I'm so partial to pieces with lots of contrast. =D
