View Full Version : Visual interpretation for English - I need inspiration!

For my english classes, we've been given the task of visually interpreting the subject of 'morals and ethical considerations' (as represented in our core texts) in the form of an A4 poster. Under normal circumstances, the departure from the normal 'write a *so many words* long essay on *boring, irrelevant topic*' would be great news! The only problem is, I'm not entirely sure where to begin; I'm completely stuck for motivation!

So here's a little background information on the subject we're studying. The two texts we're using are the film 'dangerous liaisons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangerous_Liaisons)' and the novel 'midnight in the garden of good and evil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_in_the_Garden_of_Good_and_Evil)'. These texts deal in particular with the ethics of the upper class, in societies where Christian teachings form the basis of the majority of society's ethics. Both address the themes of vanity, guilt/innocence, deception/falseness, judgment and the power of wealth.

I need help! If you have any inspirational images to get my mind working towards a finished product, or any suggestions which might spark the creative process, please throw them out there so I can get to work. I need to have this thing completed, today! :O

Well, I can see that today is over. It's not wise to ask for TODAY help in the Art Discussion forum, it's pretty slow here, if I were you I'd be looking on DeviantArt's boards. They may suck, but they'll answer quickly and anyone can think of ideas. Next time, at least.
