I deleted the links to the first images. After browsing this site for a little while I realized it was kinda dumb to post stuff in the really really really early stages. Anyway, updates below

i think you're getting better every version you do. i know its still a WIP but for what its worth:
make sure her 'clothes' (latex blouse?) follows the contours of her body; her left boob, her clavicle, traps etc...
her face is a little washed out, try and get the values on the same level throughout the painting (make her face as contrasty as her clothes)
eyes are too far apart...in fact her entire face looks a little small in the space that her head allows.
i realize the left arm is supposed to be going back in space, and therefor will appear shorter, but it looks stubby right now.
there's some other stuff but i have to go get ready for school; looking good, looking forward to the next update

Thanks Pavlovich. I kinda having a hard time since not I'm not using any references (a little bit on the face) so I'm struggling just winging it with the lighting. These are great crits though, I'll work on these issues.

Everything looks good, except her right breast. Because of the highlight you have there, I cant quite tell where its protrusion ends. Try and define that before your next update and she'll be all the better. =D
Good work man!

Halis_Aetrous - Thanks. Still have to work on the highlights a bit, but here's an update.

i think her right leg is slowly getting bigger and her left leg is getting smaller. while her skin and face is evolving, her clothing seems to be taking a step back, or a step sideways at best. for some reason i still like the body of the first one...its very crisp, strong and confident, which i think is conveyed in the brush strokes. after that it gets kind of mushy...i have this problem when i try to render something a little too far; i should stop but try to get it to a 'polished' stage and end up with something that looks melted and boring. i can definately see you are progressing and i hope you are having a lot of fun with this; i would suggest getting a couple of reference photographs and try painting those just as a little personal project, i think you'll learn a lot from it.

Her left shoulder area still needs some fixing. If you pull your arm back and outward, your shoulder and trapezius move up a little.

Pavlovich - You're right on the money, I do feel like I've been trying to polish it up and not making much improvement (except for the face, which I think works much better than the previous ones). I actually was looking on the net for references before I read your post and will study those for a while, I think I have to take a short break from working on this thing to get a little perspective.
feels - Thanks for the crit. I'll work on fixing it.

Howdy! The most glaring error that I see has to do with her left (OUR left) arm... It's a bit too small, methinks.
And I'd like to see the reflections put back in her glasses!
She's come along nicely, though -- Does she have a name yet? ... Oh, wait it's "Baroness" right? Okay, well what's the backstory for this bespectacled beauty?

William b. Hand - Thanks for the comments and crits. Actually, looking at it today (after not working on it for a while) I think both her arms are kinda funked up :(
You're also right about the reflections. Anyway, I got a hold of some ref photos, so the next update (hopefully) should be an improvement. Oh and btw, Baroness is a baddie from the old GI Joe cartoons. Was flipping through the channels one day and it was on, so I started painting this, nostalgic reasons mostly.

Here's an update. Most of the body is pretty much redone, and the hands and gun still needs some work. Crits appreciated.

Well this is as done as its gonna get for a while, i'm so burned out on working on it, I'm new to painting and it has been frustrating. Appreciate everyone who gave some input, I think the piece turned out better because of it. The hands still need some work, and my knowledge of guns is non-existent. Anyway, crits/comments still appreciated :D
