I have absolutely no clue what's going on in this picture, but i LIKE it! :)

I'm not sure whether or not that car is behind, or a miniature or something, but maybe you could put a lightning bolt or whatever is coming out of that ball on top or below it to show where it is.

That's a really great angle, hard to pull off but it looks like you did a great job of it (I love the cracks coming out and the DBZ style smoke!)

Everything looks great, but what struck me as a little odd was her hand position with the ball. Is she just holding it there or is she going to throw it? You may want to add some motion if she's throwing it, or have her hand under if she's holding it, It would be kinda hard to hold a ball that way ;).

Besides those tiny things, it looks great, I think it would be a fun idea to make this odd..scene into a comic :)

this may sound like a dumb statement but, I usually do not like manga style artwork...i'm just bored with it...but this is f'n nuts!!! I love it. post more or feel my icy cold touch of death. ok...so i don't really have an icy cold touch of death...but post more anyway.

I have an icy cold touch of death, at least thats what my ex tells me...Uh, anyway this is really sick (in a good way of course). She's a real hottie and the perspective works great as well as the blast effect.

I'm guessing thats a sound effect off to the left in the blast area, now I'm no manga expert (only american comics expert...okay maybe not) but I would have made it a bit bigger and also would have positioned it somewhere else, possibly from the left and then curving back behind her, so you could still showcase her all too sexy legs.

?--What is that little thing flying under the cell phone, on the left?

-When I drew the hand, I was thinking as if she had just bounced it, and you would be catching a freeze frame of that action. sorry if it was not communicated that way..

Dig it?

-Thanks, I'm glad there is something to it you like. I'm trying to get as an authentic touch to manga as possible.

-there's the cell phone with a little doll ornament attached. Like most people's phones here, some decorate with a Keitai strap. some have a little toy on the end.

-Thanks all :D

Oh I like it! Now that I see it with that new direction it looks great. Especially the larger sized one. Did you use real tones or did you do it on the computer? cutting tones out is hard work :)

:chug:

Excellent linework. There's a lot going on.

I'm curious, what medium did you use? I've always wanted to work with that gradient shaded dot dealy.

-Sorry for the late reply :D

I drew pencils to paper, then inked buy nib-pen and ink and brush, I then scanned, sep'ed the line art and applied digital screentone on a separate layer.
*my actual process for tone use I would rather not describe in full detail. However, I have posted a full Conventional tone tutorial someplace about. Try a search if possible.

Indeed :D

I'm in the middle of doing some thumbs for it now :D

thanks
-something to the degree of "I'm not going to loose to the like of you guys!".

-directly digital.
yes, cutting is a pain, but sometimes I still go back and do it. More less now that I do it digitally, and I get to retain my lineart for coloring or what have you. However, I suggest using it the conventional way first for many, that way you gain a touch for the technique.

Thanks to all again,
-and stay tuned :D
