Is such a product avalible as a pre-made metal and wire skeleton (with positionable limbs) for modelling clay or sculpey onto? If not, and if such a product were on the market, would you buy it?

ive only seen animation armatures.they are expensive.
the problem is that artists can make their own wire skeleton way cheaper than they could buy pre-made in the shop.
therefor you would have to keep the retail price low if anyone were to be interested.
personally i enjoy the wire stages as much as the clay stages. its all part of the fun

I hate building armatures. But as Twist said, they're cheap.
If someone could make 'em cheap enough and easy enough to modify then I'd much rather skip the wire stage and would pay for that privilledge.

Pewter armature is a common thing in miniatures. I think they can go up to 84mm tho.

Yeah you can buy animation armatures here: http://www.animationsupplies.net/shop/armatures.shtml
You probably won't pay less than £55 for one though. Cheaper to make one yourself, it's a pain though I agree.
