Nice work! I really like the bottom one, very Blade Runner. Your army dude looks similair to the GiJoe comic that's out right now. Very nice painting on both. There something weird going on with the top one's legs. Either they're detached from his hips or he has really big hips.

I too love the bottom image. I think that the top is great, but I have to agree that the hips look a little on the wide side of things.

The bottom image has a great feel to it. I feel like I am immersed in the place. Well done indeed!

I agree. The bottom pic looks sweet! very cool down n dirty urban feel to it.

and yeah.. to me, in the top pic, the character looks like his hips are to wide, the legs are to far apart and his legs look too short also.. tho that last could just be me..

anyway, nice work:D

hello GenConfusion ,

i dig the images quite abit and i agree witht he general poll of the lower picture being of favorable merit .
with the top image i notice a few thing going on that throw it of kilter immensly.
notice, if u will, the perpective all over the figure is a bit skewed.

As i look at the head the socket portions of the eyes denote worms eye view mildly , yet the chin does not follow suit . traveling down further the same appiles for the arms whch is obviously more worms eye view as i travel further the body take an abrupt shift to an above view of the lower extermities which right away throws it off . also the distance from the hips to the knees and then to the ankles is also abrupt and not accurate in terms of proportion.

in the lower picture i love the value arrangment , the figure thought , looks disjointed . the shoudler is way too sqaure and on the left side and the connection fo the arm on that side is not convicing. its a great pic but elements of that figure stand out and could take away from it as a whole .
good work id love to see more
were these images or work or yourself?

The second one is phat. Specifically the receding space of the 3D composition; how it seems to flow in a big spiral toward the upper left-hand corner, until the sky peeks through. Brilliant.

They're right about the character, though, his left shoulder looks dislocated. He also doesn't seem to have hands, just two indeterminate shapes at the ends of his wrists. Some detail on the hands would add a lot of expression to the piece, especially since we don't see his face.

Still, it's a really nice piece. I'm diggin' the neon signs. Expert touch there.
