Hi everyone. After watching the DSG for some time now, I thought it was time to throw my hat in the ring as well. I kept the outer shell rather simple, thinking of picture books but in the end found myself guilty of commiting one of the greatest crimes in mechadesign: adding random useless elements to make up for boring looks. I hope in time I will be forgiven. She also has retractable fingers which leads to the question why anyone would NEED retractable fingers. The only answer I can come up with is: to crack nuts without risk to the finger joints. Safety first. :)

PlasmaErnst: love the component work! Could do with some more segments in the hip/ leg area. Hadn't thought of the possibility of attaching the wings to the arms. Really dig that!

Crustacean: great mix of bulkiness and zombie-ism sparkled with a little girl for creepiness. Nice one. Honest.

Oh wow! I haven't thought to check back in a while...the sketches are amazing. Sadly, I can't see PlasmaErnsts', but I'm really enjoying the different personalities julie has taken on. I love the tenderness in Marsc's peice especially--it feels so personal when I'm looking at it!

I've been meaning to participate in one of these for weeks, and finally got inspired. It took about 3 hours total, and part of it was painted on the train while riding home from work on friday. Anyway, just wanted to get my feet wet- I'm open for criticism and suggestions- I have a ways to go to catch up with most of you!
