Hey guys, I am a 5th year senior studying industrial design. This is my last semester here and over the past few years I have become very interested in entertainment design. My portfolio is all product development. I am working on my thesis project right now and it is to do the art direction/entertainment design for a film adaptation of a science fiction novel.

My sketching abilities (product and humans) are pretty good. But seeing as this is my last semester I am scrambling to find a job. I was wondering what is the best way to present myself as an entertainment designer with an industrial design background. I had an internship this semester design backpacks so I have some experience :p

Where should I send my resume/portfolio out? I am not even sure what companies hire entertainment designers...

you might want to check on your film-job-descriptions too... art direction for film is a whole lot bigger then just doing concept art and scetches and stuff... you'd better know about lighting, lenses and lounge lizzards too!
