Just curious if anyone from here ever posted or posts regularly on:
http://www.penciljack.com
I ran across them a long time ago... it's different in that it's primarily geared towards penciling for comic books... not as much for concept artwork/matte painting/sculpting etc. as CA is.
But at any rate... always good to know of another forum where rendering is important.

Isn't that the forum that had a massive thread ages ago calling marko's x-men redesigns crap?

I keep a regular sketchbook there for fun. Isn't it also the forum that got Marko his Marvel gig? And hardcore comic fans can be tight asses about character re-designs. Marko's designs we're a fresh breath on cool characters.:rendered:

What are you talking about? I got my Marvel gig straight off the pages of CA, no Penciljack or whatever other Forum was involved at all. For the love of god, stop spreading dangerous half-knowledge.....

Used to post there. It has quite interesting knowledge about comic art, sequential art and working on comics in general. Very handy, very helpful. I remember one guy, Bruce something who'd post lots of good topics to help out people.
Unfortunately, that board just wasn't the one for me as i headed a totally different direction artwise, but it did help me on my road of discovering art. I'm still a comic fan and peek there every now and then.

I'm on there. No sketchbooks, but I've posted things on there and have gotten useful feedback. It's a decent resource for comics/sequentials. There is a bit of industry narrow-sightedness, but I take it as that. Mainstream comics in general are having some issues of being inbred in terms of art and stories. But that's a whole other topic.
It's very active, which I like. And like Concept Art, it isn't a group hug whenever you post something on there.

His nick is "Bruce Lee." He's still on there, with good crits and support.
