Nice one Hyp, I like that you've taken the trouble to show the colour from the lightning bolt on the face of the nearby wolves.

I'll give you the same crit everyone gives me, needs more contrast.

Cheers,
jm

I like these epic battle things that people have been posting lately.

Also, the closeups look better then the entire piece, which means that you sould concentrate on composition and form as much as you currently concentrate on texture.

Just something to keep in mind for the next piece.

As I said before, this is too much fun.

I think you need to extend the action to the upper left corner of the drawing. Right now there is nothing going on there and you could cut the drawing off at the orange bolt and not miss that section.

The folks are right, it needs more contrast.
Where do those orange beams com from anyway?
The wolves look like big rats here and there.
The upper left needs more town in the bg. It´s too empty.
I´d recommand some reffs on medival town architecture.
And of course a good three-point-perspective-grid to work the scene out first. Because, sorry to say, the perspective sucks. The right perspective does wonders. You should be able to buy grids at a local art or architectual supply store.

Carry on!!!

Hey Hyptosis

Uhhh, yeah, I´m not exactly known fer my high marks in tact or human relations. But it wasn´t my goal to "brush" you. Sorry. I just tried to come up with uh...helpfull hints. But I was in a hurry. But believe me, if you really wanna get work in the conceptart industry, games or else, you need a thick skin and a strong stomach to deal with critics. I hope I´ve been of service.

Hey no prob, I get bashed all the time. And I think I"m pretty good about not taking offense, just pointing it out. Thanks for the time.

I wouldn't post if I didn't want people to crit it.
