Come join the developers of Monster Madness (http://www.monster-madness.com) and CellFactor (http://www.cellfactorgame.com) in establishing the visual style for an original console gothic/noir sci-fi video game. We're looking for visionary artists to work with us establish the look and feel of this new series, and translate this vision into practical game media throughout the production.

The positions are on-site at our offices in Gainesville, FL -- a city that was recently voted #1 city to live in the USA ("Cities Ranked & Rated", 2007). Relocation expenses and high compensation are available for this key position.

Lead Artist

Your focus:
o Creatively establishing the visual style for the game universe through key concept art, and the direction of other concept artists' designs. Direction of the conceptual process.

o Working with Art Director to ensure appropriate translation of concept visuals into actual game graphics.

o Work with individual artists and review all game assets to ensure they meet consistent creative style as envisioned by Lead Artist.

o Planning and oversight of level designers to ensure environments meet consistent visual style as envisioned by Lead Artist.

Skillset Desired:
o Must be able to draw concept art and visualize conceptual ideas into artwork, preferrably rapidly.

o Thorough understanding of modern game graphics, and next-generation game art requirements.

o Interest and engagement in establishing a new kind of dark-gothic science fiction visuals, and to tell a dramatic story through bold visual design.

o Ability to work well in teams and communicate ideas, to translate your internal vision into a reality -- starting preproduction with other concept artists, then moving into working with actual game media artists in full production. Art Director will be your partner in the art production process, so must be able to effectively share ideas with him.

Dear sir or madam,

I am writing in response to the job as Lead Artist for gothic/noir sci-fi series. I have what you're looking for in skills, and passion. I am known to be a hard worker, reliable, and rather tenacious.

I have worked as a waitress so I have great people skills. At the moment I am freelancing as an Artist, and have just finished a job storyboarding for a short film for Blue Finn Productions. I graduated from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and now have a bachelors degree in Animation Production. I also have experience in animating 2D traditional. My graduation films have been entered into an animation festival, Unheard Voices in London, and The Melbourne International Animation Festival (MIAF) in Australia.
