This is my redesign of the Riot Control human compactors from the movie "Soilent Green"... I'm postin in the finished section 'cause my comp froze and deleted my work 3 times!! So I'm glad to be done with it ;)
I wanted to deliver a boxy/retro look true to the movie's depiction of the future..
My design process can be view here

Really neat design. Never seen "Soilent Green" but I'm guessing you did it justice.
Absolutely great stuff, but I have a minor nitpick. Is the tiremark further from us supposed to be like that, cause to me it seems a bit off.
But other then that, really cool :)

: ) thanx guys.. glad to see people react to it the way I wanted...
Kortez - Yea I think I'll go back and tone down the back tiretrack a little
Mad_Lobster - It was pen and ink scanned, I colored it in Painter then messed with it in photoshop
343guiltyspark - You should see the movie, it's great ... gotta be in the mood for Charlton Heston .. hehe
Jnorish - thanx for lookin' at the WIP section, I try to explore a lot in a design before I finalize it
gasmask- I practice a lot.. but I only post my scetches .. the real stuff I've been workin' on I can't show YET ;)

Great job. I actually knew what it was before I even read the type. Very disturbing movie. You should pitch the re-make with these designs.
Soilent Blue is.....TUNA! So, it's no big deal, really.

gasmask - I use steidler pens.. they don't blead when markers are applied... I also use pilots.. but I press reallly really hard and usually break them  .... Also a tip for everyone ... Printers print really nice onto markerpaper and the printer ink won't bleed!
Atmospheria - yea.. I need to do actual perspective, my "eyeballing" sketch perspective ain't gonna cut it anymore ... the underlay for the vehicle was a sketch and wasn't supposed to be the final.
-Muttonhead- I'm glad you were able to tell what it was, that's awesome.. I really wanted the design to fit in that cheesy 60's era of movies........I donno who I'd pitch this to, but I'd definately see what Charlton Heston has to say : )
