this can be quite a controversial topic, becouse if a person from now was somehow put 2000 years into the future, im pretty sure that the human race of that time would consider him as a caveman and our time as being stone age.

True.
Wich confuses me a bit.
Should it be some degenerated future human, who lives in a cave (without modern comforts).
Or should the cave be high-tech?
But I guess it's the degenerated one?
But then again, how can we seperate that one from a "normal" caveman?
Suppose it's up to the artist.
Sounds like a great fun though!

Topics for ChoW became quite schematic lately. I waited for this one with hope and now I'm disapointed. Is ChoW going to be a niche only for Fallout and Mad Max fans?

I'm kinda new, so I feel kinda wierd about telling another guy what to say, but you;re being really closed minded. Why not make it a utopian society where people have moved back to nature? Nobody said it had to be Mad Max styles, last time I checked.

I hope you join Newman :) I don't see any reason why the topic picker would be barred from frolicking in the dirt with the rest of us.

IF YOU DONT LIKE the topic use your imagination to stretch it as far as is possible, do something un expected. cavemen..dont have to be brutal dumbass neanderthals. future cavemen could be a well dressed upper class family sitting at a mahognay table in a cave with micro chip brains or something that or it could be thugish, brute neanderthals, with 7 testicles and 2 vaginas dragging around a laser cannon...(hey who knows what the future holds? :P)
im gnatry and participate this time, although my work isnt realy to par of this competition usualy level :)

You could have a caveman battleling a knight and it would still be considered within the themes rules. Tempting theme, I might join this one.

INSPIRED BY Science Channel Super Comet after the Impact
Twice as big as the meteor that swept the Dinosours millions of years ago.
After the largest recorded meteor impact ever recorded in human history hit the earth.
what would happen to civilization, the continents, and the seas?
when scorching 800 degree ring travels across the planet and incenerates everything in its path.
Follow a group of survivors from across the planet and experience thier hardships.
The air unbarable, incredible Fire Rain, and scarce food.
As a "future Caveman" imagine what my character looks like....

I'm confused! Are we doing 'Future Caveman' because the ones so far although good would suggest 'Historical Caveman in a Modern Context'? :\
grenogs
September 6th, 2007, 02:54 PM
well im guessing that anyone who lives in a cave would be classed as a caveman. maybe future stone age man would be a better title, that way we could have flat screen stone tv's , or electric powered stone ferrari's, a stone hi-fi where he could listen to all his rock music, sorry i mean stone music, lots of imagination here, but a future caveman could basicly wear lots of tin foil, or a normal suit and tie and drive your normal ferrari, and as long as his house is made of a cave, hes a caveman.

Wouldn't a future caveman just be a skeleton? Present day cavemen are just skeletons....hmmm Not sure I'm in on this one, but if I were, I would make a skeleton...lol

not neceseraly, in the future, recreating extinced anaimals from dna could be very common, so therefore any caveman could actualy be walking around as any other human, i guess it would be something similer to futurama

Nice WIPs everyone...I'm surprised not many entries yet, I'm sure they will pour in towards the final burning. Here's my WIP, hope I'll have enough time to get it to a decent level. Nice WIPs everyone .
Story...still working it out. goes something like this. Year 4000+, mankind has lost is "spark" what makes us human. Future humans are in search of human samples from our timeline. They search for intact samples from caves in the north pole and Antarctica.

I was figuring some king of electrical-implant / nanorobots that glow with blue veins kind of thing, that plugged into the cave... so even though it looked totally and completely ancient with no technology whatsoever, it was actually all wired together and he was wired to it...
or something. >>;

nice image slash, but wheres the future part in it?
Also i dont want to be nity picky in any way, and yes i know its fantasy, but everyone seems to be making their cavemen like bodybuilders, which i think is slighty wrong. They could almost have been called scavengers, eating whatever they could find, much like any animal would. body wise they would probably be more like any of todays native tribes around the world, like some of the Amazonian tribes that live off the jungle. And not like some muscle bound guy that looks like he had been pumping iron all day.
And if fantasy is everyones excuse, then wheres the pet Dinosours

Well he's not a regular person he's a nuclear caveman- who were about three feet tall. And purple.
Hopefully for next week I won't spend hours and hours on the head and fudge the rest of the figure.
