need suggestions

I would deffinately like some suggestions on this..started out as a doodle then keep workin it..now I think I want it to be a finished peice. but ive been stairing at it for four hours and need outside opinions

put him in a ruins / jungle backdrop with lots of dark colours. make him and near foliage illuminated by his spell.

How about giving him some more of that yellow glow?
Also, I'd spice up the clothes with some patterns or other ornaments along the wrist or whatever.

just some hints. but if you ask me, the pic works fine the way it is:) go monkey go!
