I know some of the CA community is at DragonCon. I met a few of you yesterday. It's rare that we get to meet face to face, so don't be shy! Add to our sketch gallery at the table and get some free stuff.

Well I didn't see this thread. And I didn't see you all there, unfortunately (I even wore my CA pin :P ). I didn't stay too long, cause it was packed!! I couldn't believe how many people were there! I kept assuming that it was because of G4's coverage on Comic con?? I'd like to know how many there were. The admission line for a badge kept going around the corner... just blew me away (So glad I pre registered!). But it was so packed and so hard to move around, I finally ended up leaving.
I was also surprised that there weren't more professionals in the art show there. Why? There used to be allll the big names there, and it just seemed to really stop over the past few years.

Hey Bowlin, we ended up packing up the table sunday night. Sorry we missed you! There definitely was an unholy amount of people at the con, but on the plus side we got a lot of good publicity for the local sketch group.
In regards to the art show, I think a lot of the professional artists were in the dealer and exhibitor rooms. This was my first time at Dragon con, so I can't compare to previous years, but it seems that pros know where to make the money. The traffic flow in the art show was much slower than in other areas of the convention. I'll bet it was a simple matter of location.
