View Full Version : I so sorry...

I'm very very sorry about the thread I posted on this forum. It was a mistake to do so and I won't do anything like it again. I will take everyones advice and stop flaunting my age. I have over 100 drawings that I can post so I'm also going to start a sketchbook thread that was suggested. I went to my schools career center today to see what jobs were available for someone of my age. I'm trying my best to resolve everything I've done.
My reputation has been possibly damaged for ever. I wanted to visit massive black (which is about ten minutes away) but I don't know if I will if they've seen the thread.
I'm not going to weep about what I did, I'm going to take my mistake and learn from it.
I hope you except my public apology.
Sincerely,
Jake

PS: The thread title should be I'm So Sorry.

Don't sweat it, you're fourteen, you're supposed to screw up from time to time. :grandpa:
P.S. Don't model your colored forms with just black and white.

dude, I posted a really embarrasing controversial very stupid thread when I was 14, no sweat buddy, take a break from CA, start a new account and dont tell anyone your details.
Looking forward to see what you come up with

(in regards to your locked thread, PLEASE listen to what Dile and Justin Oaksford said, they speak from experience, age, egos and art dont mix.)

My reputation has been possibly damaged for ever.

Um, who are you?

(By which I mean you're a teen. Nobody knows you. Nobody is *supposed* to know you. Be yourself, make mistakes, learn from them, and then don't worry about them.)

Well, angus, in a way you've already made yourself famous! (though, for the record, I never would've noticed that other thread if you hadn't started this one ;D) I think you should name your sketchbook "The Ravings of a Rabid **-yr-old!" :D

I thought the role of teenagers was to peev everyone off if not then I owe a lot of ppl an apology for my teen years.

My reputation has been possibly damaged for ever.

Cassio: Reputation, reputation, reputation! O! I have lost my reputation. I have lost the immortal part of myself, and what remains is bestial. My reputation, Iago, my reputation!
Iago: As I am an honest man, I thought you had received some bodily wound; there is more offence in that than in reputation. Reputation is an idle and most false imposition; oft got without merit, and lost without deserving: you have lost no reputation at all, unless you repute yourself such a loser.

I trolled a forum when I was 15, and it wasn't just a topic. I was flooding the boards with topics and posting in every other one. Not only that, my words had influence from Mindless Self Indulgence! To learn this important lesson at 14 and with only one topic is greatness.

Since you didn't use your full real name, you're still safe in real life. But it might be worth going over to Massive Black and oppologizing face-to-face. For me at least, that would be very hard to do. I recommend getting advice from others as well on that idea.

To know of a place like CA at that age is pretty lucky, me thinks. I just discovered it this year (I'm 17), and it's hugely inspiring. The people around here provide realistic and balanced feedback, as well as almost always explaining their reasons.

I don't mean to sound arrogant, but what I notice with DeviantArt is that people have habits of over-using 'XD', and when it comes to feedback, it's either 'pathetic' or 'I worship it' without explaining their reasons, usually. It doesn't seem to get you as far. I still feel that this paragraph from me was an arrogant one, and I feel pretty bad about looking down on something, but it's just something I noticed.

Well I'm not one of those teenagers who causes everyone to be pissed at them. I have more "honor" than that. It hurts me to hurt others. I didn't know people would react to the thread like that.

not even sure jason and Co know who I am, and Ive been around a hell of a lot longer than that. getting forgotten around here is pretty easy. JUST work , learn, post in SB etc... you'll be fine. Ca has forgiven worse things. (heheheh..it is very tempting to tell tales at this point but I won't to protect the guilty.)
