well, the man who was going to do the graphics for this game has said that it was a bit bigger project than what he thought it would be and would be unable to do it. so we're back to needing a 2D and 3D artist to do this game.
Here are the details of the project:
Company Name:
Atlantis Games Group
Project name:
Obliterator 2007 (PC)
Brief description:
we are going to tile map the game. it's a 2D side scroller with a slight 3d aspect to it.
Target aim:
this game project is just getting started. This Game is a Classic in every sense of the word and has needed to be
updated for a long time. This Game Was a great Concept.most games brought out in the 80's were rushed and
unfortunately this one was no exception. The movement was choppy and load times were ridiculous.
Not to Mention the graphics could have been much better.
God Knows the Amiga and Atari ST were more than capable.
So This Will Be our 1st PC game.
Compensation:
we will pay an even share of any royalties to all staff members (4 members max)
Technology:
For Modern PC's
Talent needed:
I need characters, Backgrounds, title screens, objects, etc.
I want a graphics guy to go hog wild and be creative. Change the aliens, Alter the back grounds.
We are trying to bring this game up to date. I would like it to have a slight 3d aspect to it, even though it's a 2d game. needs to be dark and gloomy, very metallic, high tech looking.
I would like the game title animation to be large letters made of steel. riveted together.
I would like to do a 3d shot of the title starting from a close up of the side 1st letter, panning
around to the front and backing up to a wide shot of the entire title.
Team structure:
Project Director/Music: Sal Esquivel (Oregon, USA)
Lead Programmer: Peter Meyer(New York, USA)
Movie/Cut scene Direction and Production: Robert "Robbie" James (Oregon, USA)
