Im pretty sure that the tablet pc (wisptis.exe in task manager) is the problem. When I pan the page around after zooming in the brush cursor becomes very laggy when i resume painting. But if I hit undo (Ctrl+z) the cursor lag is fixed until I pan around again. Anyone else have this issue or fix?
Also note that I disabled the tablet pc components but the system still runs the microsoft tablet pc component.

Dunno.. Vista is so RAM hungry that I ended up upgrading from 2gb to 3gb (32bit version otherwise I woulda gone 4gb). Then creating a new partition just for PS's scratch disk of 20gb. Seems to have fixed a lot of buggy issues like the one you mention.
