Hello! I reallllllyyy want to get better at drawing before I get old. At the moment my only tools are pencils, computer papers, a mouse, and trial versions of a whole bunch of art programs. I'm in a large family...so I'm not graced with enough favortisim to get a tablet...though I had one before...and my sister broke it. Anyway, I hope this can be daily. I'm over my aunts house until school starts so I'll be working on Corel Painter X, with a laptop mouse/pad...thingy.

1st posts, whooo.

The first one was done...an hour ago, and the second is a really quick sketch of my dad from a month ago (the only traditional picture I had on this laptop...). It was like a rare thing and I had to jump on it and run away with it. My dad doesn't like me drawing him, but he was so caught up in being mad at his MP3 player, that he didn't notice until the last second. =D

For fifteen, I'd say you're off to a great start. It seems like your talents really lie in the traditional mediums (granted you are painting with a mouse, which is like trying to paint with a brick, so I don't hold that against you). But I would say, keep a sketchbook, and carry it around with you, and use it constantly throughout your day. Sketch random people sitting around or walking by, and of course, keep it interesting by drawing the things in your head. :rendered: They may not look amazing at first, but drawing from life will definitely help you improve the weak areas of them.

But best of luck to you with your studies mate. And don't stop drawing!
