Hi all,

Here is a painting I did for fun. I just wanted to make a disgusting creature who's trying to smile and look ..well... kind of friendly (but still scary unfortunately) :D Let's just say he's a nice monster who is willing to seduce you ;)

Cheers!

Wow ^^ Sweet rendering! And yes, he does look like a rather friendly monster :)
Here's a crit for you to chew on:
I'm having some trouble understanding whether we're seeing it from a sideview or not, reason being that there are so many things that _could_ be eyes :P
Try to make it more obvious where the eye and nose are :)

Nice work!

Neat. Weird. Love the translucent effects.

Although, there's a translucent effect on the lower gum that makes it seem like there's no other side to the mouth. Of course, on this guy, maybe he only has one side, dunno. But if you think about it, viewed from the side, you are more likely to have a translucent effect on the middle or back of the gums, than the front, because back lighting will be passing through less flesh.

Anyway, cool, creepy, and nice highlights!

Thanks a lot guys for your comments, I really appreciate it. I agree with the fact that his right eye is not easy to read, as it is in the shadow, and I can see how most of people would understand his face. Maybe I'll make it clearer, I was also thinking about doing this thing in 3d but not sure yet.

Cheers
